Hello, my name is Matthew Carter, owner of A. C. & A in Lagrange Ky. which also serves the Louisville community. Today’s topic is insulin and the decreased Part D prescription drug cost for Medicare recipients in 2023. Insulin will also decrease in cost under the Medicare Part B model. On January 1st, 2023, the Insulin Affordability and Inflation Reduction Act reduced the cost of insulin under Medicare Part D to a $35.00 monthly pharmacy copay. Effective April 1st 2023, Medicare Part B recipients will experience lower coinsurance costs for insulin administered through a pump. Those who are administered insulin through a pump will have no deductible to meet and will pay a $35.00 copay as of July 1st, 2023. For more information Google Medicare supplement Lagrange, Ky. A.
