Hello, my name is Matthew Carter, owner of A. C. & A. in Lagrange, Ky. which also provides service to the Louisville community. A. C. & A. specializes in Medicare planning. For these informational pieces, I like to address common questions from clients. Today we are going to compare coverage from Medicare Parts A & B to Medicare Advantage. First, you must sign up for Medicare Part B in order to receive coverage from either one of these options. The cost for Part B is $170.00 monthly in 2022. Medicare Part A has a $1,556.00 copayment for hospitalization. Medicare Part B has $233.00 deductible and requires a payment of 20% coinsurance for any physician services provided in or out of the hospital. There is no cap on what you can spend in any one year with coverage solely provided by Medicare. In contrast, Medicare Advantage plans do have annual out-of-pocket limitations. They also must provide all services covered by Original Medicare. For more information, Google Medicare supplement Lagrange, Ky. Aines, Carter & Associates, Medicare Done Right the First Time.
