Medicare Supplement Insurance Could Help Pay Your Copayments, Coinsurance & Deductibles
When you reach age 65, you can enroll in Medicare, our federal health insurance program. Is your health insurance coverage getting simpler by this age? Well, not really.
This governmental health insurance may not cover all your health care costs comprehensively, so consider buying Medicare supplement insurance.
Medicare supplement insurance—also referred to as a Medigap policy because it fills in the gaps in Medicare—is private health insurance designed to supplement Medicare. It helps pay for health care costs that Medicare does not cover, including copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles.
There are many standardized Medicare supplement insurance plans. These policies help you lower out-of-pocket expenses and get more health insurance coverage. Medicare supplement insurance plans are neither connected with nor endorsed by the United States government or the federal Medicare program.
Aines, Carter & Associates offers affordable Medicare Supplement Insurance plans for seniors participating in Medicare.
Plans may cover costs where original Medicare does not. Learn more about Medicare Supplemental Insurance today.
What is a Medicare Supplement Plan?
A Medicare Supplement Insurance (Medigap) plan can help pay some of the costs that Medicare doesn’t cover, like copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles. Some Medicare Supplemental insurance plans also cover specific hospital or medical services not covered by Medicare.
Eligibility
Medicare Supplement plans are available if you are 65 or older and have enrolled in Medicare Parts A and B. In some states, coverage is available if you are under age 65 and are Medicare eligible due to disability and End end-stage renal Disease (permanent kidney failure requiring dialysis or a kidney transplant).
Health Problems
Did you know your standardized Medigap policy is guaranteed renewable even if you have health problems? Your policy can only be canceled if you pay the premium.
Spouse
Each Medicare Supplement (Medigap) policy covers one individual, so you and your spouse would each need your policy. An Aines, Carter & Associates-trained insurance producer will help you understand what you and your family may need.
